Jen and Ben's Rainbow Wedding
Jen and Ben celebrated their wedding on the 29th of February, a date that they know will only come every 4 years which makes it extra special. They had a rainbow wedding and it was an incredibly colorful occasion! The bride wore a self-customised 50's style dress and petticoat combo from Honeypie Boutique and Swank Underpinnings. Her hair and her shoes were bright and super colorful as were the bridesmaid’s dresses and the groomsmen’s shirts and ties. Jen being a headpiece designer also made her own gorgeous creation for her own special day (see more of her work here.)
Everything from the food, much of which the bride made herself, to the decorations (ditto) and even the flowers were done in a wide variety of wonderful bright colors. The reception hall was truly a festival of color and fun! When it came time for the ceremony, they all went outside and were delighted that the sun was shining. They planted a cherry tree in honor of their big day (Jen loves cherry blossoms in springtime) and the entire group had a fabulous time.

Laura & James' 50's Style Engagement Shoot
Bex from Coterie Photos has been hard at work on this fab 50s styled engagement shoot, and I'm sure you'll agree, the resulting shots look stunning!
Here's what Bex had to say about the shoot...
"So with her background in burlesque, Laura has certainly got some moves, she worked that lens like a pro. I absolutely love her look and was picking up a styling tip or two along the way. And film maker James, well he was channeling his inner Scorsese and did mean and moody with a cherry on top. Two beautiful and lovely people! The shoot was a joy from start to finish and I'm chuffed to bits with the images. It would never have happened without the help of Ace Classic Cars who I can't recommend highly enough. If vintage is your bag, they've got it all in their garage, well worth a trip and take the credit card!!"

Natalie & Ryan's 50's Style Wedding
Natalie & Ryan wed at Aston Hall Hotel in Sheffield and opted for a 50s theme, accented with delicious hot pink.
Natalie wore a very cute polka dot dress from Candy Anthony, and our creative bride made all of the stationery, table cards and signs herself! Natalie even hired the very ice cream van she frequented as a child to serve up treats to her lucky guests.
Afternoon tea was served up and went down a storm after an intimate ceremony with just the happy couple and witnesses in attendance.
Thanks to Phil Shillitoe at Yorkshire Portraits for the fab photos www.yorkshireportraits.co.uk

Corina's 50's Style Wedding
Corina and her husband were married January 8, 2011 (Elvis's birthday!) in Las Vegas, NV. The couple never expected to actually find the church where Elvis and Ann Margret were married at the end of Viva Las Vegas so when they did, and saw that it was still functioning as a wedding chapel, they jumped at the opportunity to be married there.
Corina wore a vintage dress that she bought from a little second hand store in Detroit for $140 (complete with veil!), her inspiration being the 1959 Barbie Doll's wedding set!
The reception was held inside the Eiffel Tower at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. They served the most amazing french inspired dinner for the 39 guests followed by a red velvet cake!
Corina's family took care of all the details including the photography which made for a wonderfully intimate and truly homespun occasion!
You can check out Corina's blog here!

Zoe & Chris' 50's Style Wedding
Zoe and Chris really injected some fun into their 50's style wedding with their candy colour scheme! Zoe's dreamy dress was made by Dana at Once Upon a Time (I have fallen in love the beautiful butterfly detail on the back), and the bridesmaids were each in a different coloured Honeypie Boutique dress.
The couple completed their retro theme with a quirky wedding cake and a fab white convertible Beetle!
Thanks to Hedgehog Photographic who did a fantastic job capturing Zoe and Chris' special day on camera!

Michelle & Craig's 50s Style Wedding
When Michelle and Craig tied the knot earlier this year they went all out 50s from the dress to the car, table decorations and even the food!
Michelle wore a fabulous Dolly Couture Beverlywood and did a bit of clever customisation on her Miss Selfridge bridesmaids dresses with with Honeypie Boutique bows and sashes.
The reception was done in true diner style with decorations and menus by www.rsvpcoordinators.com and Michelle herself. Food included giant hotdogs, burgers, waffles and ice cream sundaes - yum! Michelle even put together a sweet shop with jars she had collected from pound shops. 50s covers band 'Brothel Creepers' provided 50s style entertainment into the night.
Thanks to Al-overdrive for the lovely photos!
